As the Christmas and New Year period twirls its way towards us, MoB would like to thank all it’s loyal visitors for their continued support over the past year.

From our humble beginnings when Kittie and her troupe would bring their frilly-knickered frivolities to the pubs and clubs of Glasgow, we’ve since grown up into the worlds premier name in burlesque. 2007 has seen us launch our online magazine, our national burlesque workshops, our tutorial DVD and our MySpace-style talent network for burlesque performers.

We’ve just celebrated the one year anniversary of our monthly Brighton High Tease, described as “The best burlesque in Brighton.” We’ve also brought free burlesque parties to London in conjunction with the world famous Met Bar in the super-swanky Metropolitan Hotel in Old Park Lane and we’ve also brought quality burlesque to Glasgow in the form of Miss Exotic World 2007, Miss Immodesty Blaize, Lord Dashwood, Red Sarah and many other top stars.

Production-wise, Ministry Of Burlesque has worked on a number of mainstream TV productions for the BBC, ITV and many leading independent TV companies. MoB has also been active on the theatre front too. August saw our ‘Victorian Values‘ play (written by Kittie Klaw, music by Des O’Connor) sell out two nights at Hoxton Hall as part of the Shoreditch Festival. Victorian Values is currently being adapted for a television comedy sketch show and filming the pilot episode is due to start in early 2008.

So what does 2008 hold for Ministry Of Burlesque?

So far, we are taking over the VIP Suite at Londons Metropolitan Hotel during London Fashion Week, taking burlesque to the Cannes Film Festival and working on several projects for TV, whilst on the web front we’ve got several BIG surprises up our sleeves. We’re also expanding our workshops into more cities and our High Tease and Movers & Shakers events will continue in London, Brighton and Glasgow.

So stay tuned and remember to check the new MoB Events calendar if you’re stuck for somewhere to go over the festive period. We’d now like to sign off by wishing you all a fantastic Christmas and suitably decadent New Year. ;o)

2008 is going to be a good one!
